The Winnipeg Jets continue to find new ways to lose and new ways to disappoint their already frustrated fan-base.
After dropping a 3-0 decision to the Calgary Flames on Saturday night...
...they promptly responded by losing to the Nashville Predators on Monday 5-4 in overtime. So, they captured, what amounts to be, a useless point. They now sit with 67 points and sit fifth in the Central division. By now, it's pretty useless to inform anyone where they sit in the wild-card race. Suffice to say, the Jets need a miracle.
The Jets were without Jacob Trouba, as he is suffered from an upper-body injury against the Flames. The only bright spot was Patrik Laine recording his 33rd goal of the season, just two goals back of the league leader, Sidney Crosby who has 35. Nikolaj Ehlers added his 33rd and 34th assists, and Mark Scheifele got his 41st assist, which gives him 69 points on the year, just six points shy of the league lead held by the Edmonton Oilers' Connor McDavid.
