The Winnipeg Jets have signed another free agent. Defenseman Cameron Schilling, formerly of the American Hockey League's Rockford Ice Hogs (Chicago), Ontario Reign (Los Angeles) and the Hershey Bears for a two-way deal at a term of one year for $650,000.
The Jets also lost defenseman and minor-leaguer Brian Starit, who signed last July 1st, to the New Jersey Devils. No loss. Not even one game played for the Jets.
