Jets Embarrassed By Avalanche: Go 0-6 IN OT For The Season

Another overtime game for the Winnipeg Jets, another overtime loss.  After visiting the "Mile-High City" for the second time this season, the Jets came up short yet again in OT, the sixth time the Jets have done so.  They are 0-6 in the extra frame.  1-8 if you add the two games that ended in a shootout this season.  The Avs are personally responsible for two of the Jets OT woes.  This one with 9.9 seconds left in the OT period.  The Jets lost 3-2.

The Avalanche are not quite as bad as they were at the season's start, but they still don't (or rather shouldn't) be beating the Jets twice like this.  If it wasn't for Blake Wheeler crashing the net and tying things up with 32 seconds left in regulation, the single point that now separates second from third in the Central division would not have manifested itself.

The captain was the only Jet to score on this night.  It was his first multiple-goal game since his hat-trick against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Oct. 29th.  It was his 12th and 13th goals of the season.
