Laine Appreciates Time At All-Star Weekend

The lone attendee from the Winnipeg Jets (another two should have been there) at this weekend's NHL all-star festivities, rookie sensation Patrik Laine said he really appreciated his inclusion to the Central division roster for the All-Stars and was honoured to be a part of it.

Laine garnered two points for his team during Saturday's skills competition.  He won his "fastest skater" relay against the Vancouver Canucks' Bo Horvat and almost had the title of hardest shot (107.8 mph) but was ultimately defeated by Montreal's Shea Weber who had a velocity of 108.2 mph.

NHL.com has the story.

And the National Post tells of an impressed National Hockey League, when they see what Laine could and probably will become.
